**** Recap of August 18th ****
Well it may have been a hot day last week, but it did not stop us
from
riding. No sir-re! We'd like to welcome a new member this week. Thanks
go
out to Dolores Hart for tolerating the summer heat and joining the
FRP!
**** KYW's Sunday Forecast ****
As of last week KYW was calling for thunderstorms on Sunday, August
25th.
With that report I was ready to cancel the Pennypack Park Ride. As
I check
back today, the thunderstorms are predicted for Saturday night. So
as of
now, the ride is on. KYW's prediction for the 25th is as follows:
KYW's Sunday Forecast: August 25th
Cloudy in the morning followed by clouds and sun in the afternoon;
breezy
and less humid
High: 80° Real Feel: 78°
Low: 60° Real Feel: 63°
Sounds like a perfect day for a ride in the park.
**** New Ride To Be Added ****
The FRP is looking to expand it's ride list. Ride leader, FishBone
Fisher,
is currently looking into taking on a ride that was a big success
last year.
If all goes well, the new ride will be added to the agenda for the
Summer of
'03. Details are still being negotiated.
**** The Progression Of The Freedom Riders Of Philadelphia

We would like to thank every one who has been reading the early editions
of
The Philadelphia Gazette.
Eventually we will offer an archive of the news letters on our web
site.
Since we are relatively new we are still coming up with new ideas
so things
may be changing slightly (most likely just the names of different
sections,
and weekly features in the news letter).
We are still establishing our mailing list. So if
you'd like to be put on
the permanent mailing list, please email us and let us know. All other
emails will eventually be filtered out of our list due to function
ability
If you have any suggestions and/or comments, please email them to
us and
full credit will be given.
**** Information On The Ride ****
If you would like any information about the ride please contact our
ride
leader, Fish Bone Fisher at either this email address or by phone

632-9269. If you are planning on joining The FRP trip this week please
contact FishBone so he has an idea of how many people to wait for.

Well that's about all for this week. If anything shall come up concerning
the ride, we will send out news as soon as we get it. We hope to see
