Thanks to everyone that came out, The Freedom Riders
Of Philadelphia had an
excellent ride. A little hot but it made us push forward all the more.
Ride
leader, FishBone Fisher, took a few days off and headed to Cape May,
NJ.
With the help of his brother-in-law, Dave, he took the Freedom Rider
name
all the way to the Jersey shore, riding from Ocean Blvd. Hotel to
The
Lobster House Marina to the End of the Ocean Blvd Promenade. Although
he
didn't have his own bike down there he did admit it was a lot of fun
and
peaceful riding past Washington Square looking at all the Victorian-style
houses.
KWY's Sunday Forecast:
Clouds and sun with a t-storm in spots in the afternoon; hot and humid
High: 91° Real Feel: 101°
Low: 70° Real Feel: 72°
It may be a little warm but that is what the Summer
is all about. Remember
the change in the meeting place!! We are still meeting at Academy
Plaza but
to be more specific we will meet at Rita's Water ice in the parking
lot. We
will make one lap around the parking lot to look for other riders
just
showing up at 12:30 before heading out on the regular route.
As of now, KYW is calling for thunderstorms for Sunday,
August 25. If, in
fact we do get those thunderstorms, then the Pennypack Park Ride will
be
called off. As the day approaches, and we get the latest, we will
send out
an email letting you know what is going on.
If you would like any information about the ride please
contact our ride
leader, Fish Bone Fisher at either this email address or by phone
at (215)
632-9269. If you are planning on joining The FRP trip this week please
contact FishBone so he has an idea of how many people to wait for.
Well that's about all for this week. If anything shall
come up concerning
the ride, we will send out news as soon as we get it. We hope to see
all of
you on the way to Pennypack Park.
